It’s been a crazy full year of weddings, some travel and life that I have seriously neglected my blog. So, in the spirit of catching up, and because it’s still Summer but Fall is really a day away (finally!) I figured this post would be weather appropriate.
We’ve all heard the phrase “it’s all about the details” and when it comes to organizing that dream wedding, it is the details that can give your wedding day that extra special touch.
I had the pleasure of photographing Tiff and Danny’s wedding last Fall in South Florida. I say “Fall” because I went from nice cool chilly North Carolina Fall weather to “It’s-like-Summer-all-over-again”. However, in the end, it was a perfect day.
Going back to the details…
I met Danny in 2016 in NC during a Summer study abroad program training. During that time we had the chance to talk about photography and traveling and he also talked about his passion for reptiles. To this I will add, his love for his home state, Florida.
Fast forward to Spring of 2017, Danny reached out to me asking if I would be interested in being his wedding photographer. Of course! We setup a Skype call and that’s when I met Tiff. We went over all of the details of their day and one of the things I loved the most was the attention to detail that they had that represented bits and pieces of who they are, where they’ve been and what they love. From beautiful handmade plumeria flower bouquets for the bridal party (nice job Tiff!), to a delicious multi-layered tropical flavored cake, reptile socks for the groomsmen, and a lovely Catholic ceremony that incorporated various Filipino and Hispanic rituals.
At the reception, the tables were decorated with orchids and had plumeria soaps as favors and all of the tables were named after places they either had visited or are related to where they are from.
There was also a table with photographs of both their parents and grandparents wedding photos.
After their grand entrance as husband and wife, toasts, laughs and tears, Tiff and Danny took over the dance floor to show of their very cool dancing moves that went from slow dancing to “Des-pa-ci-to”. (Because, why not!)
In the end, it was a fun, sweet and beautiful wedding where they were able to promise their love to each other in front of all their family and friends.
Tiff and Danny, thank you so much for letting me photograph your special day. It really was so much fun getting to hangout with you all and capture some fun memories for you to remember.

And if you haven’t noticed, I do love to travel, and my camera goes wherever I go. :)
